Blackberry Cherry Cobbler:
- 3 cups blackberries
- 3 cups cherries (pitted and cut in half)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 cup butter
- ¾ cup sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 ¾ cup flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 3 tbsp sugar (optional, to sprinkle on top)
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Combine fruit and 2 tbsp sugar and spread in the bottom of a 9x13in baking dish. You can try this recipe with 6 cups of another fruit- peaches make excellent cobbler!
- Cream together butter, ¾ cup sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add flour and cinnamon to the butter and mix until just combined.
- Break off blobs of dough and scatter on top of the fruit. If you want an extra sweet crust, sprinkle 3 tbsp sugar on top of the dough.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Serve warm (with vanilla ice cream- yum!)
