Blackberry Cherry Cobbler

Blackberry Cherry Cobbler:

  • 3 cups blackberries
  • 3 cups cherries (pitted and cut in half)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 ¾ cup flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp sugar (optional, to sprinkle on top)
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Combine fruit and 2 tbsp sugar and spread in the bottom of a 9x13in baking dish. You can try this recipe with 6 cups of another fruit- peaches make excellent cobbler!
  3. Cream together butter, ¾ cup sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add flour and cinnamon to the butter and mix until just combined.
  5. Break off blobs of dough and scatter on top of the fruit. If you want an extra sweet crust, sprinkle 3 tbsp sugar on top of the dough.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
  7. Serve warm (with vanilla ice cream- yum!)
